The Post - Movie Review

I wont watch a movie with a fake ass hypicrite like meerle streep she should be ashamed of being in a movie like this she has no principles she tried to help roman polanski get his charges dropped for raping a 13 year old little girl

The84nino - 2018-01-19
Nope! Trump 2020!!!!!

Chupa Cabra - 2018-01-19
Left wing fake news is such a bore and obviously fake! This movie was a bore even though I'm glad the Pentagon Papers were published and outed the MIC war mongers who wasted lots of taxpayer's money on a criminal war. And outing them back in the Vietnam war years didn't seem to help prevent the fiasco criminal invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq...and now having created Isis and supported their crimes all across Syria. All our neocons/oil companies/other partner countries (like Israel and Saudi Arabia) had to do was engineer a false flag operation that was 9/11 and it whipped US citizens back into patriotic zombie mode again (Seig Heil!)

Aidan Mackenzie - 2018-01-19
I don't care about the movie's technical or acting jobs (though I thought they were good) the point people should be taking away is the message. I usually hate messages in movies but these are people who legitimately deserve credit and fame for what they did.

Krist Stevens - 2018-01-18
You uploaded the post movie review, but what about the pre movie review?

James Lucke - 2018-01-18
See here's the thing. It'd be more relevant of the news wasn't making shit up. They do. Constantly. If the media actually did their job instead of trying to incite slander and Trump Admin was trying to shut them up, THEN this movie would be relevant. Really the most relevant reflection of what's going on is that crappy action flick "Paparazzi"

darinka kralj - 2018-01-18
the least they could have done was make Streep look less like Hillary, to make their agenda just a touch less obvious....fake news, fake movies and as drab as khaki.

Lucas - 2018-01-16
It happened, I finally found a movie more boring than The English Patient

Joseph Adam - 2018-01-16
"What Spielberg choses to focus on and what the script chooses to focus on..." That's kind of redundant since Spielberg doesn't have ANYTHING in the script that he didn't want there. He orders rewrites until it's the movie he wants to make. This is true for most filmmakers, especially ones with his clout. He's the director that hired script doctors to rewrite Michael Crichton's first draft for Jurassic Park! If he has the clout to overrule the author of the source material, I doubt there's anything in "The Post" that was merely what the writer wanted but not Spielberg.

Joseph Adam - 2018-01-16
To be fair, Trump is FAR from the first president to despise the media. Remember Obama vs Fox News (which he called "Faux News" because they ran stories unfavorable to him)? And the trouble with groups like Wiki-Leaks and what was fair game for journalists began waaaay before Trump. So it seems odd to act as if "today's climate" is different and new. This movie could have come out 5 years ago and be just as timely.

Kashyap Raina - 2018-01-15
Completely disagree I think this movie is awesome regardless of the relevance factor because this is tom hanks's best performance since captain Phillips , Meryl Steeps best performance in this century and Mr Spielbergs best movie since Lincoln besides that the supporting cast is incredible and John Williams score is fantastic , evan though we have seen movies about expose of a scandal in recent times ( spotlight ) this movie chooses to focus on Steeps character and hanks's character and how their determination against all odds lead to them exposing this story

Richard Jolly - 2018-01-15
Based on true events for sure, but lame to put the whistleblower in the background.

JulesRouleau - 2018-01-15
Is this really that real a story? Seems to me some facts were omitted.

David Tubb - 2018-01-15
I seriously hope people like Streep understand that this entire movie is an illustration of the power of the deep state and globalist central bankers. Its always been these people creating every war. These are the exact same people who run Hollywood and its agendas.

To develop some kind of separate reason as to why we went to Vietnam that doesn't place 100% blame on central banker globalists would be incredible bullshit, very naive and ignorant beyond belief.

Scott William - 2018-01-14
Chris you're awesome but you have triggered the little bitch boy trump trolls down below.

Alex Conn - 2018-01-14
The issue is the movie was made in 8 months and that’s not enough time to develop a great film.

Alex Conn - 2018-01-14
I never felt it was ever riveting.

Jay Wolin - 2018-01-14
I can't say enough about this movie. One of the best I've seen in a very long time.

Sandy M - 2018-01-14
I'm pretty sure meryl will not hesitate to bring us some more virtue signaling even when she gave a standing ovation to a rapist. She is overrated and just a left propaganda filled megaphone.

Not The Joker - 2018-01-14
Speaking of Bob Odenkirk...review Better Call Saul!!!

Scott Sullivan - 2018-01-14
I'm surprised Chris didn't love it. I for sure did! I gave it an A in my review.

Jon Stewart - 2018-01-13
This was back when The Post printed news

Brent Shaw - 2018-01-13
Great review as always Chris!

Robert R - 2018-01-13
"Streep is good." ?? She was marvelous.

AdsUniverse - 2018-01-13
Conservatives get butthurt over one comment. I'm dying lmao

whutzat - 2018-01-13

Joe Jetu - 2018-01-12
Trump can't control the media, he's just call it out as fake news which is perfectly reasonable to me.

P.S. the movie had a terrible opening box office. Jeez, I wonder why that is..

Wulleybully - 2018-01-12
would have loved to have seen this in the hands of Sorkin.

npina - 2018-01-12
Chris you're very smart about movies. But would you review one without watching it? Would you review it based on what you heard second hand?
Commenting without investigating Trump's relationship with the media would be like reviewing a movie you heard about from others. I invite you to watch the movie of Trump versus the media. Just research for yourself a few of the lies being told about Trump. Get both sides.
This is the goal of the left to convince thoughtful people who have no time to research. They count on their good reputation to spread these lies. Trump is not attacking the free press. He's attacking the lying press.

JesusSavedJoshua - 2018-01-11
Amazing you did a review without swearing...good job

eric jones - 2018-01-10
Lmfao so hard. This fake tiring story sh**. The information is not real information that'll put the scumbag conspirators in trouble. The real secrets of the world is those negros, their melanin and their past. Now don't get me wrong, I'm it a big fan of those negros, but I can't say I'm a racist. Let's think for a second people, why they're so interesting in killing those minorities? Why their organs are worth 75 percent more than gold? Why are they're stealing their organs when they die? Why they've taught us to hate those negros? And a huge question and secret is, why are the negro born with these great physical abilities? Coming from a racist family born and raised on the farms of Hilsbourgh Illinois, my dad who was once formerly known as a grandwizard for the Klan, was killed by them after seeing that we were all deceived with what they've taught us in the media about the world and those negros. Yes, they control the media and everything. The movies they've created, claiming to expose the government is only a distraction from the real truth and secrets. No I'm not sorry that I'm white or where I came from, I'm only sorry for believing the nonsense they've taught us. I did two tours in a war I didn't understand because of the deceit I've been taught. Never ever again my friends.

Oblivious Reviews - 2018-01-10
I felt as though the more timely messages were too obvious to anyone paying even the slightest bit of attention to symbolism. The symbols in this film make "mother!" look like The Shining.
For example, Meryl Streep's character walks down the steps and is only surrounded by women who stand and watch in silent admiration. It's somewhat force-fed, even though we've been given better gender symbolism in earlier scenes between Meryl and the board members where they interrupt her but eventually, in her own way, she asserts herself. It lacks tact and vision, and Spielberg is not a symbolic director, despite the fact that he attempted subtlety and failed to a minor yet all-too-noticeable degree. 'Tis a shame for me. I admired most of the performances aside from Tom Hanks who just plays Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep. I'm very glad to see Bob Odenkirk on the big screen, being the best part in a Spielberg movie.

Wartler - 2018-01-08
I just saw this movie and thought it was pretty good. Definitely worth a watch, but Streep did not deserve a Golden Globe nomination and I hope she is not nominated for an Oscar. It's a good performance, but to say it's award-worthy is doing a disservice to all the other actors who gave great performances this year. Also, I agree that Bridge of Spies is highly underrated.

LetsGetHighOnMorris - 2018-01-07
This movie was oscar bait as fuck. It doesn't deserve to beat blade runner 2049

liammcnulty1987 - 2018-01-07
Relevant? The media is fake and biased. It's proven. It was also proven that CNN was helping Hillary in tbf debates.

Has Trump closed any news outlets down? No. He's just called our their dishonest tactics.

Zahinn - 2018-01-05
i cant look at Myrel Streep anymore and not cringe. The wannabe politician who thinks she "understands" the common people.

C Zee - 2018-01-04
This movie is nothing more than a liberal dribble from the leftist Hollywood elite. Wouldn't waste one dime on this crap!

fataomar - 2018-01-03
please review Phantom Thread!!!!!

Vania San Cristobal - 2018-01-03

Albert Caamano - 2018-01-01
Movie to make news corps look good thats all , they lie all the time ,so we dont know what is true here ,no thanks next

MustardSeedish - 2017-12-31
Speaking of Oscar bait, could you review The Darkest Hour?

Jamie Carroll - 2017-12-31
I'm sorry Chris. You're just wrong. It was great from start to finish.

Blizofoz45 - 2017-12-30

Phantom Prism - 2017-12-30
Gonna pass on this movie. Don't feel like seeing these liberal scumbags over act for the sake of Oscar bait and further brainwash the public into trusting dishonest media. Which is the saddest thing about all of this. There are reasons to dislike Trump but unfortunately mainstream media has decided to focus on the bogus lies and overexaggerations making itself look bad and Trump look good by calling them out on it.

Alejandro Esquivel - 2017-12-30
This movie "won´t age so well..." just like your tattoo.

Mark Randomlastnamethatisnttaken - 2017-12-29

pricila - 2017-12-29
100% oscar baiting

pricila - 2017-12-29
the post malone

Steven McCormack - 2017-12-29
If you lived through this era as I did, a rebellious teen protesting the Vietnam War, this film is a well crafted, sumptuous, nostalgic romp that captures so much that is now lost to history. I loved every minute, and left the theater exhilarated, especially given that the denouement was happily the beginning of Nixon’s end.

Hannah Fuller - 2017-12-29
John Williams gets me every time...! Lol
